When you are looking for a printer for your flyers, consider the following points:

• Try to choose a local printer so that you can pick up your print to save money on delivery.
• Take a look at their website. It should include portfolio and customer testimonials.
• Compare their prices and service with at least two other printers and don't be afraid to ask for a better price. Get a few comparative prices from printers in the same area and ask the printer you choose to match or even beat the other quote.
• Find out how much support you will get when supplying the artwork, each printer will require a specific format and have specifications for the artwork you provide. This can be complicated if you have never set up an artwork file before.

Working With Your Printer

After submitting your artwork to your printer, they should email you a proof copy of the final design. This is what your flyer / leaflet should look like when it is printed, although printed colours may look different to how they appear on your computer monitor. Make sure you carefully check the proof for errors before you confirm that it is correct. If there are mistakes that you missed on the proof, you will be liable for re-print costs, not the printer.
